The Beginning

Hello my beautiful, favorite ladies! For 2015, let's blog. We can share our lives and pictures, post recipes, books, crafts, concerns, feelings, news…. Whatever we like. But always in support of each other, in love, and in the name of the sisterhood. Our own YaYa group. Which, by the way, is a great book.

This is just to get us started. You can create your own page. Play with it. Enough for now. I will be posting my goals for the this year. Can't wait to see yours.

Let's include the young ones as well, if you mothers are up for your daughters reading and contributing to this. It is up to you.

Here we go…..Blog 2015!

What happened to the rest of us?

So... I am back to teaching.  English this time.  But so far, I am loving it!!!!  Only for the semester, and not official yet. They have to advertise the job for 2 weeks, and I had to apply.  But I am a very good candidate;)

Misty~We all need to eat better, don't we?  And exercise.  It is finding the time and motivation.  As we find some good, healthy recipes, lets post.

Craig does not like many vegetables, so I am feeling quite limited.  I have been cooking a lot of bell peppers, tomatoes, and onions.  Which, I researched, are reallygood for  you!  One idea:

Shrimp, veggies and rice

Start your rice.  I use brown rice, so it takes longer.  And I use chicken broth instead of water.  More flavor.  You could also use whole wheat pasta or queinna pasta(not sure how to spell that) or just quinea.  It cooks the same as rice.

Cut up and stir fry your veggies.  I use peppers, onions, and tomatoes.  (Kinda of boring, but good)
Throw some chopped garlic in.  Use olive oil.

Then add your shrimp.  You can buy the precooked or frozen fresh. Make sure they are deviened.  And if they have tails, I remove them.  Shrimp are done, when they turn pink.

Serve over rice or pasta.  Done!  And pretty good.  And healthy.

Next time I make it, I'll post a picture.

So, we went from two weeks of 24/7 seeing each other, Craig and I.  Got a little tense at times, but we survived it.  Now we are back down to a few hours a night.  From one extreme to the other.  Just enjoy, right?

Till next time....
